Ghost Towns.
An Infinite Monkey Anthology
AWARD WINNING
Ghost Towns are places without people. Once there were many, now there are few or none. Time and place and absence, in short form. That’s the charge. Another excellent endeavor from the Infinite Monkeys.
With fiction and poetry by Jacob Badger, Abby Brinkerhoff, J.R. Graham, Danielle Harward, Rosie Hayes, Amanda Siri Hill, C.H. Lindsay, Inna V. Lyon, Edward Matthews, Justin Matthews, Whitney Oliver, Pat Partridge, Glen Phillips, September Roberts, Talysa Sainz, Logan Sidwell, Sobey Snow, Rae Wilkinson, Johnny Worthen and Daniel Yocom.
GHOST TOWNS is a collection of flash fiction, that is to say short stories and poems, under 1,000 words. A great quick little tome with a lot of punch. It was a great fun to put together with my writing chapter and has several award winning stories in it, mine among them.
RALPH is the name of my contribution. It's dedicated to Ray Bradbury. Fans of his will understand why as we see what the end of the world looks like through a dog's eyes. I've received more feedback about this little story than anything else I wrote last year. A great little story.
In 2024, DOUG won the a Silver Olive Wooley Burt Award for best flash fiction from The League of Utah Writers.
